2022’s Respect Awards in New York presented by Hollister celebrated GLSEN’s grand return to the first live, in-person event in two years.

Last year, we celebrated the introduction of our new Executive Director Melanie Willingham-Jaggers in their first public event. We were also thrilled to honor Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski with the Champion Award and Nickelodeon with the Corporate Ally Award. Trailblazing actress, model, and activist Leyna Bloom received the Gamechanger Award. This special evening brought together stories from our brave educators and student leaders, who are all integral in creating safe and inclusive school environments for LGBTQ+ students. We also honored Alex Quinto with the Educator of the Year Award and MS 442 School for Innovation with the GSA of the Year Award.
